“They don’t just change lives –  they help you find yourself again, and remind you what’s truly possible”

WE:ARE quite simply saved my life and my daughters’ lives. They are life savers and life changers!

We have been part of their programmes for over 10 years, and throughout that time, Jacky and Donna have given everything to support not only us, but thousands of women navigating soul destroying circumstances.

When I was unable to access meaningful support elsewhere and needed help, Women’s Aid and even my GP were unable to offer help – WE:ARE were there with open arms, support, no judgement and education – I can’t put into words the impact these incredible women have had on my own life.
They provided not just support, but real, practical help, alongside deep psychological awareness- denial has been a long part of the process for me, all delivered in a way that is uplifting, empowering, and actually fun, real and empowering.  Every time I leave them I feel like I can take over the world!!

What makes WE:ARE so special is the environment they create. From running clubs to legal guidance and emotional support, everything they do is rooted in care, dignity, and helping women rebuild their lives with strength, confidence and POWER. I have seen first-hand the profound impact they have had on so many women and families!!

Today, I am incredibly proud to be an ambassador for WE:ARE — truly one of my life’s proudest achievements. I cannot express highly enough how I feel about the work Jacky and Donna do, and the phenomenal impact they continue to have on the lives of so many women and children across the west midlands. I will always be more than deeply grateful for the role they have played in my life, and I know I am just one of many whose lives have been transformed by their work.

They don’t just change lives –  they help you find yourself again, and remind you what’s truly possible.

And from there, I’ve gone on to build a successful business, raise my incredible two daughters, and even step onto the stage of BBC’s The Apprentice — something I never thought possible at the time. For all the Boards I sit on and Board meetings I have with Lord Sugar- I can honestly say nothing makes me prouder than been part of the WE:ARE community of women thriving after survival x

Many Thanks, Scarlett.
