New Book “Words From Warrior Women” Celebrates the Power of Poetry and Recovery
WE:ARE Women’s Empowerment and Recovery Educators, in partnership with Poetry Prescribed, is proud to announce the release of ‘Words From Warrior Women’, a collection of poetry written by survivors of Domestic Violence. This powerful book is a testament to the resilience and strength of the human spirit.
Words From Warrior Women is an invitation to listen, to bear witness to, the strength that lies within us all. It serves as a beacon of inspiration and support for survivors, reminding them of their worth and offering a gentle embrace of solidarity.
The book is supported by Jess Phillips MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Home Office. “Helping women who have suffered abuse to find the words to truly express their experiences is no small thing… Language and words are the greatest tools in the abuse of women.”
“We are thrilled to share this powerful collection of poetry with the world,” said Jacky Mulveen, Project Manager at WE:ARE. “The words within these pages are a testament to the resilience and strength of the women who have participated in our workshops.”
Words From Warrior Women is now available for purchase here.
